Since Janaki FM is non-profit community radio station it needs all the support it can get from its community of listeners. Towards that end, it has introduced three schemes to enhance participation, cohesion and ownership of listeners and to help make our programmes more vibrant and community–based. You can participate in these schemes in a variety of ways, but your participation has to begin with listening to Janaki FM.
Posting comments, suggestions and feedback
We encourage you to send us your feedback, comments and suggestions by post or email. Your comments are often shared with other listeners and these will be particularly helpful to us at the station as well. Visit to Janaki FM
Regular listeners can be curious about what happens behind the scenes at their favorite’s radio station. Radio Janaki FM has allocated 3 hours (12:00-3:00) every day for its listeners to visit its studio to see the station in action.
Career-oriented volunteers are an increasingly important part of Janaki FM’s team. We encourage community participation and are always working to improve our training programmes for volunteers.
CHETANA is dedicated elite, which consists of personnel from different sectors such as social activists, human rightists, academicians, and trade unionists of Janakpurdham. This influential team is determined to contribute to a desired change in Maithil society raising its awareness for peace, human rights, democratic exercises related to good governance and women empowerment. CHETANA fights against all kinds of discrimination. Therefore, it works against regional, communal and social inequality, unfairness and injustice. And it believes, the most effective weapon essential to exterminate these evils is social education – education to those who lack it. This is why the target of CHETANA is the population of Mithilanchal. CHETANA was established in 1996 and since then this organization has been working for adult & child education, women empowerment, health and sanitation etc. and motivating rural people for income generation. It is also campaigning for public awareness against environmental degradations. CHETANA sensed and experienced the necessity of a local community radio in Mithilanchal to pace up campaigns designed to raise awareness in this region and decided to establish a community radio station in Janakpurdham to broadcast essential information and messages using healthy entertainments via popular radio programs in local languages. JANAKI FM 106 MHZ is our result of the same. Janaki FM is a non-profit community radio station. You can donate us by sending bank drafts with following information:
